The first step to using the batch processing services on Spectrum OnDemand is creating an account. Following your welcome email from Fulfillment, a member from the Delivery team will provide a copy of the Spectrum OnDemand SFTP Account Request form. You need to revert with the filled-out form, after which an SFTP account is created, and you are given SFTP login credentials.

  1. Upload a sample data file of at least 101 unique records without the required header to the STFP inbound folder.
Additionally, upload a trigger file with the same base name. For example, if the data file name is customer_records.csv, the trigger file needs to be customer_records.trg.
  2. Notify the Spectrum OnDemand Delivery Manager when you complete uploading the data and the trigger file.
  3. Make corrections/updates based on the feedback you receive from the Precisely team and resubmit the data and the trigger files.
  4. Notify the Spectrum OnDemand Delivery Manager on the file resubmission, and wait for feedback
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 till the files are consistent and formatted well enough to be processed by the Spectrum OnDemand.
  6. Download your processed file from the SFTP Outbound folder and review it.
  7. Approve the results when you are satisfied.
The Precisely team automates the process once you approve the results. After automation, you can submit the files, as required, without contacting Precisely.
Note: You need to always include a trigger file for automated processing.
