Carrier route codes are unique identifiers assigned to each mail carrier who delivers mail, allowing unique identification of each U.S. delivery route. Validate MailingAddressUSCAN can return the code that represents an addressee's carrier route.
To obtain carrier route codes, select the Include postal information check box on the Output Data Options tab. This will return a variety of data about the address, including carrier route codes. For information on the specific data that this option will return, see Postal Data Output.
