A malformed record is an input record that Spectrum Technology Platform cannot parse. By default, if the input data for a job contains one malformed record, the job will stop. You can change this setting to allow more malformed input records, or even allow an unlimited number of malformed records. This procedure describes how to set a default malformed record threshold for jobs on your system.

Note: You can override the default malformed record threshold for a job by opening the job in Spectrum Enterprise Designer and going to Edit > Job Options.
  1. Open Spectrum Management Console.
  2. Go to Flows > Defaults.
  3. Click Malformed Records.
  4. Select one option:
Stop jobs containing this many malformed records
Select this option to stop jobs if the input data contains one or more malformed records. Enter the number of malformed records that you want to trigger the termination of the job. The default is 1.
Do not stop flows with malformed records
Select this option to allow an unlimited number of malformed records in the input data.
