EnterWorks releases are cumulative. Release notes for previous versions of EnterWorks apply to later versions. EnterWorks 11 contains all enhancements and behavior changes included in EnterWorks 10.5.x and 10.6, except the issues listed in Known issues.

API

• The new EnterWorks Monitor API allow you to monitor the health of EnterWorks services, job status, and workflow status.

Change Notification

• The CN_Registry to CN_Log link relationship was removed to improve performance.

Data Management

• The options for the number of Audit History entries displayed on a page now includes 500, 1000, and 5000 entries. This increases the number of entries that can be selected at a time.
• Now if a VTL rule generates an error, the VTL rule is identified in the logged error message.
• The timezone of the user's browser is now displayed in the record history's Date and Entry Date column headers.
• In EnterWorks 10.5.x, the setting that controls whether a record is automatically validated when it is linked to a parent record defaulted to yes. In EnterWorks 10.6 the default behavior changed to no. In EnterWorks 11 the default behavior reverted to yes.

Digital Asset Management

• When digital assets are uploaded to Amazon S3, they are now given the complete content type specified in the FileExtension code set's Description value. For example, PDFs are given the content type application/pdf rather than just application. See the EnterWorks Guide for instructions for changing the FileExtension code set.
• When image variants are generated, they will now also be generated for variants that have the following DAMVariants attributes set to zero or that are left empty: Quality, CompressionQuality, DPI, and AspectRatio.

Search and Filters

• In the New UI, you can perform an IN search in a repository for a comma separated list of values.
• A script has been included that creates an index for the date and time that records were created. If your repositories have thousands of records and you perform a lot of searches based on the date and time a record was created, adding this index may improve system performance. See the EnterWorks Guide for instructions for running the EPIM_OptionalSQL.sql script.

Security

• Security improvements have been made for EPX work items.

System Administration

• The installation process now allows you to configure more than eight workers.
• The sequence of services in the EW Stop and EW Start scripts has been updated to ensure the smooth and efficient stop and start of EnterWorks services. To comply with current recommendations for services, the EW Stop script no longer stops RabbitMQ.
• To improve logging capabilities, the application name has been added to the database connection strings.

User Management

• The ability to control user access to functions through setting user group capabilities has been enhanced.

  • Removing the History capability removes History and Audit History options from the repository view and it removes the History and View History options from the record editor page.
  • Removing the Rollback capability removes the Rollback option from the repository view and the record editor page.
  • Removing DAM capabilities removes Upload, Regenerate, Cleanup, and Image Report options from DamMaster in a repository view. Users can still access these functions from the widget or a linked record.
• Log and download icons are no longer visible in the Job Monitor if the user is impersonating another user.
• In the Job Monitor, the toolbar options Restart Job, Delete Job, Job History, and Transmit File are no longer visible if the user is impersonating another user.
