An entire source repository can be promoted in a single operation. This can be
performed in both the New UI and the Classic UI.
To promote a repository using the New UI:
- Open the desired repository in a Repository View. To do so, open the Feature sidebar, select the desired folder, and select the desired repository.
- Open the More dropdown menu from the Repository View's activity bar and select Promote All Records.
-
The Promotion Configuration window will appear. Edit the options:
- Promotion Configuration: Choose the source repository you want to promote. You are not limited to only promoting from the repository you are in.
- Promotion Type: Select the minimum validation status of records you want to promote.
- All New or Changed Records: Select to promote all new or changed records in the source repository.
- All Records from Saved Set: Select to promote only those records in a Saved Set, then select the Saved Set from the dropdown menu.
- All Records from Saved Search: Select to promote only those records in a Saved Search, then select the Saved Search from the dropdown menu.
-
Validation Option:
- Records that have not yet been processed: Validate only records that have not already been promoted.
- Records that have errors or have not yet been processed: Validate only records that have errors or that have not already been promoted.
- All Records: Validate all records.
- Skip Validation: Do not validate any records.
- Click OK. A background job will be launched that will validate and promote the designated records from the source repository.
