When an administrator is working across multiple EnterWorks environments, it is easy to accidentally modify the wrong environment. Changing the color or text in the title bars of the UIs is a good way to provide a visual aid to remind administrators which environment they are working in.

To customize the EnterWorks UI title bars:

  1. Log into the EnterWorks Classic UI.
  2. Open the Feature bar, open System, and select Shared Configuration.
  3. In the Name field, enter env, and select Apply or press the Enter key.
  4. Set the fields:
    • enviroment.type: Enter text that describes the environment, such as PROD. This value will appear as the text in the title bar in both the Classic UI and the New UI.
    • enviroment.color: Enter a hex RGB color value. This will be the color of the Classic UI's title bar.
  5. Click Apply.
  6. Click Close.
  7. Clear the data cache.
The next time a user logs out and back into the New UI, they will see the updated title bar. Classic UI users will see the change after they reset their workspace.
