For system recovery you need to be able to restore the servers and restore the database. To prepare your EnterWorks system so that it can be recovered in the case of disaster:
- Capture periodic snapshots of the servers. In the event of a disaster, server snapshots can be used to recreate servers using the original names.
- Enable the transaction logs and perform scheduled database backup. The logs and backups allow the database to be restored up to the minute of a disaster. Cloud replication or similar off-site replication of backups and transaction files is essential.
- In order for an environment to be functional after system restoration without reconfiguration, keep the server names, database names, and account information in system backups the same as in the operational system.
