The Shortcuts widget can be used to set up quick links to certain functions so users can access them via the home page instead of navigating from the Feature bar. These shortcuts are customized by editing the Shortcuts repository located in the Scheduled Activities or the Workflow folder in the Feature bar.
- Open the Shortcuts repository.
- Click the Create a new record button.

The Add New record window will appear. Edit the record:
- Shortcut Type: Click the look up button on the far right to open the dropdown. Select the Shortcut Type and click OK.
- Name: The name of the shortcut. This will appear in the widget as a link.
- Description: (Optional) A description of the shortcut.
- Group Name: (Optional). List the user groups that will be able to see and use this shortcut.
- Id: This will be generated by the system when the record is saved.
- Display Order: The default position for the shortcut is the last in the list. You can change the position by entering the position in the list you want this shortcut to appear.

Widget Group: (Optional) In the New UI, a Shortcuts widget can be configured to show a subset of the available shortcuts. These subsets are called widget groups. If you specify that this shortcut belongs to a widget group, when the widget is configured, this shortcut will be displayed if the specified widget group is selected or if no widget group is selected.
- Open the Details tab to enter the details for the Shortcut Type. The required
fields will change based on the Shortcut Type. The example below shows the
Repository Listing details.
- Repository Name: The name of the repository.
- Preference Listing: (Optional) The Preference View that will be used when the Repository View is opened. If no Preference Listing is selected, the default preference will be used.
- Saved Set: (Optional) The Saved Set of records in the repository that will be displayed.
- Saved Search: (Optional) A Saved Search that will be applied to the repository to determine which records to display.
- Search Attribute, Search Operator, and Search Value: (Optional) You can use the dropdown menu to select an attribute to search, the operator to use in the search, and the value to search for.
- When you are finished editing the record, click Save.

Add the Shortcut Widget to the home page:
- Click the plus button on the top-right of the home page to add a new widget.

Edit the widget's configuration fields:
- Title: The widget's title.
- Type: Shortcuts
- Select a different color for the report widget (optional).
- Change the Height if you need to make the widget longer to show all the shortcut links.
- Click the check button on the top right and the Shortcut widget will be shown.
- Click the Save button on the top-right of the home page to save the new widget.
