All users need a local EnterWorks user account. EnterWorks can be configured to authenticate users (manage authentication locally) or it can be configured for an external SSO or LDAP(S) service to authenticate users.
Warning: Do not change a user's login name if there are open
work items assigned to them. If you do, they will not be able to
access the work items. Instead, have them complete their work items,
then change their name. Also, you should always assign work items to
a user account that belongs to a group of people, instead of to an
individual user's account.
Warning:
Do not change the EnterWorks or
the EPX system usernames. There are many EnterWorks functions that reference
these names. If you change the system usernames, these functions may become
inoperable.
User management tasks include:
- Create, Edit. or Delete Local Users Using the New UI
- Create, Edit, or Delete Local Users using the Classic UI
- Change a Local User's Password
- Define who can read, edit, or delete a user: Users are securable objects. To assign security to users, see Define Access to Securable Objects.
