When digital assets are uploaded to EnterWorks, they are given a content type based on
the asset's file extension. For example, by default, when PDF files are uploaded to
EnterWorks, they are given a content type of application/pdf
. You can
change the content type digital assets are assigned by editing the
FileExtension
code set.
Since the data cache must be cleared and services restarted after you edit the code set, it is a good idea to wait until after normal business hours and to change all the content types you want to change, then clear the cache and restart services.
To change one or more DAM content types assigned to digital assets when they are uploaded:
- Log into the Classic UI.
- Open the
FileExtension
code set by opening the Feature bar, opening Model, selecting Code Set, opening the DAM Code Sets folder, and opening the File Extension code set. - Edit the Description values for the desired Code values:
- Scroll to find the desired file extension Code and double click it to open it in an editor.
- Change the Description field to the desired file extension type.
- When you are finished editing the code descriptions, click Save.
- Clear the data cache.
- Restart EnterWorks services.
