In the UI, many data model objects are organized according to the type of object, then further organized into customizable folders. For example, export templates are grouped into folders. To access an export template, you must open the folder the template is stored in.
Data objects that are stored in folders are:
- Repository
- Code Set
- Taxonomy
- Hierarchy
- Export Style Map
- Export Template
- Publication Style Map
- Publication Template
- Syndication Template
- Exchange Template
Before you can create an object that is stored in a folder, there must be an existing folder to store it in.
To view existing folders:
- Log into the Classic UI.
- Open the Feature bar and open the Folders tab. A list of the types of data model objects that are stored in folders will appear.
- Click the type of folder you want to manage. A tab will open that displays the existing folders for that type of data model object. For example, if you click Code Set, the tab will show a list of the existing Code Set folders.
The Action dropdown shows available actions you can perform on folders:
-
New: Create a new folder of that type.
Repository folders are securable objects and must be made accessible to the groups that need to access it. If you create a repository folder, define its security: Define Access to Securable Objects.
- Edit: Edit a folder.
- Delete: Delete a folder.
-
Sequence:
- By Name: Lists the folders alphabetically by name.
- Manually: You can drag and drop folders to arrange the list of folders.
