Publication Style Maps define the data structure and placeholders for one or more publications. The diagram below is an example of how some different Style Types are used.
Element Type Definitions:
Header 1 – Parent level data above item level data. If there is one level above item, such as, a Product, then it can be defined as Header 1 Element Type.
Header 2 – Additional parent level above item table. If there are multiple levels above item, such as Product Line and SKU Group, then Product Line level data can be defined as Header 1 and SKU Group can be defined as Header 2 Element Type.
Main Table Fixed Element – Item level data. Can be used to define fixed table columns to support the publishing of global attributes such as SKU No., UOM, and Price etc.
Main Table Variable Elements – Item level data. Can be used to define variable table columns to support the publishing of category specific attributes such as Color, Size, etc.
Main Table Subhead – Item level data, typically used to create subgroups of items. Can be used to define subgroups (pivots).
Main Table Footer – Item level data. Can be used to define table footer to support the publishing of item footnotes.
Secondary Table Fixed Elements – Related Item data. Can be used to define fixed table columns to support the publishing of global attributes for accessories.
Secondary Table Variable Elements – Related Item level data. Can be used to define variable table columns to support the publishing of category specific attributes for accessories.
Secondary Table Subhead – Related Item data. Can be used to define subgroups of items for accessories.
Secondary Table Footer – Related Item level data. Can be used to define table footer to support the publishing of item footnotes for accessories.
Icon – Can be used to define icons that are published using an icon repository that contains publishing rules by attribute name and attribute value.
Index –Can be used to define index elements to support the publishing of keyword index.
Misc. Fixed Elements – Can be used to define additional miscellaneous elements, for example, for reporting purposes in publications.
Secondary Images – Can be used to define alternate images to support the publishing of images that are managed as attributes.
Extended Elements – Can be used to export publishing elements in a vertical format.
Roll-up Elements – Pending Element Type used for testing.

Header 1 & 2 Element Types will export as a attribute name only (1 column) in the output file:
Main Table Fixed, Main Table Variable Element Types (as well as Secondary Fixed and Variable Element Types) will export as an attribute name/value pair (2 columns) in the output file:
Main Table Subhead and Secondary Table Subhead Element Types will export as an attribute name only (1 column) in the output file:
Main Table Footer and Secondary Table Footer Element Types will export as an attribute name only (1 column) in the output file:
Icon Element Type will export as an attribute name only (1 column) in the output file:
Index Element Type will export as an attribute name only (1 column) in the output file:
Misc. Fixed Element Type will export as an attribute name only (1 column) in the output file:
