The Initiator Role can be inserted at any point within the flow, regardless of the multiple activities existing in a given flow. The Initiator Role is especially useful when used in a complex process flow containing subflows and multiple activities. This is relevant to the actor who started or initiated the workflow, receiving information regarding the work item and the process flow.

Note: The Initiator role can only be placed anywhere within the process flow, between the Starting Point and the Ending Point Activity.
