The EPX Engine provides a public API. This API supports the following types of functions:
setting up actors (participants, BICs, and roles) and their respective access control to various functional components of EPX
defining and maintaining process flows, subflows, and their related components, such as groups, roles, work item types, and work item viewers
access to active work items
routing of work items within defined process flows
event subscription and delivery
remote subflows, which allow work items to be routed to subflows located on other remote instances of EPX’s Application Server
