To view a work item, click the work item name in the content pane of the TaskManager window. Alternatively, you can also access the work item by selecting the checkbox to the left of the work item name and then clicking Open in the navigation pane.

The work item information appears in the content pane.

Complete the work item and then click the Send button to forward it to the next person or automated process in the process flow. You can also complete a portion of the work item and then click the Save button to save the changes, allowing you to complete the work item later.

Note: If you have finished completing a work item as part of a personal subflow and the next activity in the personal subflow is being performed by an Automatic Activity after which the work item will be returned to you, you may experience a delay in the time that it takes for the work item to return to you from the Automatic Activity. TaskManager will display a message indicating that the work item is being processed by an Automatic Activity, which might take some time. If you are experiencing this delay, your EPX system administrator can adjust the TaskManager polling interval using information found in the “Creating personal subflows” section in Chapter 4 of the Process Modeling guide.
