Report Tool is a Web-based client that allows you to run reports on various EPX processes. To access it, type the Report Tool URL into your Web browser. In most cases, the URL is:
http://<host:port>/tm/html/RPTStart.html
If you are using Windows, you can also access Report Tool from the desktop.
Click the Start button.
Point to Programs.
Point to Enterworks Process Exchange 3.1.
Point to the EPX instance that you want to use.
Click Report Tool.
You are required to supply a user name and a password. The main Report Tool window consists of a navigation pane (on the left), and a content pane (the remainder of the window).
To generate a report, you must first select the type of report that you need to run by clicking a report type in the navigation pane. The content pane allows you to select the specific process flow, subflow, or personal subflow to run a report on (if applicable). Select the type of flow by selecting the Process Flow, Subflow, or Personal Subflow option. After the flow type has been selected, use the list box to view the list of available flows. Only one flow may be selected for each report query.
Note: You can only run a single report at a time. To view a particular type of report, you must have been granted permission to view the report by your EPX administrator. This permission is granted via the Security tab in the server editor. See the Administration guide for more information.
The recommended desktop settings for viewing Report Tool is a resolution of at least 800x600, and small fonts.
The procedures in the sections that follow explain how to run each type of report.
