The EPX administrator has the capability to reassign work items from one participant’s Inbox to another. This feature can be used in instances where a participant is not available to process the work items in their Inbox. Work items can only be moved from Inbox to Inbox.
Moving the work items can be accomplished by performing a cut and paste operation.
In the originating Inbox, click the work item(s) to be reassigned (use Shift-click or Ctrl-click to select multiple work items).
Right-click one of the selected work items and then click Cut in the shortcut menu. Alternatively, you can click the Cut button on the toolbar or select Cut from the Edit menu.
Open the destination Inbox, where the work items will be reassigned.
Right-click in the work item versions table and click Paste in the shortcut menu. You can instead use the Paste button or select Paste from the Edit menu.
The re-assigned work items appear in the designated participant’s Inbox.
To save a step, you can also move the work item to the destination Inbox by pasting to that Inbox’s icon in the Navigator pane.
Note: You must be assigned specific access privileges to re-assign work items. These include read and write access control.
Important: When you re-assign work items, the new participant does not receive e-mail notification of the work items.
