If you attempt to delete any object that has dependencies, the Dependencies dialog appears, indicating that the object cannot be deleted because of these dependencies. You must either delete the dependencies or remove them from the flow before you can delete the flow.

To view and remove these dependencies:

  1. Click the Dependencies button to expand the Dependencies dialog. The expanded Dependencies dialog contains a table with three columns: Name, Dependency, and Message. The Name column contains the name of the object that you are attempting to delete; the Dependency column indicates the object that is dependent upon it; and the Message column gives details about the dependency.

  2. To view the complete contents of the Message column for a dependency, right-click that dependency’s row of the table, and then click Details in the shortcut menu. After reading the details, click Close to return to the Dependencies dialog.

  3. To launch the necessary editor for removing a particular dependency, right-click the appropriate row in the table, and then click Open in the shortcut menu.

  4. Click the Close button on the Dependencies dialog, and then, in the editor that was launched, make the changes necessary to remove the indicated dependency, and save the changes.

  5. Proceed with deleting the object as before. If more dependencies exist, repeat these steps until all dependencies have been removed.

Note: Deleting a flow removes it from the database server.
