To add a Selection role:
Right-click the Roles folder in the Navigator pane, and click New... in the shortcut menu.
On the General tab, type the name of the new role in the Name box and type a description (optional) in the Description box.
Note: The role name must be unique from all other role names.
Click the Members tab.
Right-click in the members table, and click Add in the shortcut menu. Click the names of the needed members in the Members dialog, and click OK to return to the Members tab.
Click the Rule tab.
Click Selection in the Rule list.
Select the Enabled check box next to each actor who you want to include in the Selection role. When a work item is sent to a Selection role, the participant using TaskManager chooses one of the actors from this list to receive the work item.
Click the Security tab to configure permissions for this role. For more information, see Security Tab.
Click OK to complete the procedure.
Note: A Selection role cannot be used after either a DPA or an Automatic Activity. Moreover, it cannot be added to a subflow if the subflow is designated as remote. For more on remote subflows, see Remote Subflows.
