This CMU function allows you to replace a certificate when you need to either replace an expired one with an up-to-date version, or a self-signed certificate with one duly signed by a trusted Certification Authority. Note that you cannot replace a certificate with the same one, unless you are replacing a self- signed certificate with one that is signed by a CA. In all cases, the new certificate must match the private key in the keystore.

To begin the process of replacing a Certificate, perform the procedure below:

  1. From the top menu of the CMU main screen, click on/select Action>Replace Certificate.

  2. Enter the password of the existing keystore.

Note: You can select Settings>Keystore Information to see the default directory CMU places a keystore in.

  1. Provide the location of the new certificate.

  2. Click Replace.
