You can configure a repository so that when it is displayed in a Repository View, the Overall Error Details column will appear next to the Error column. The Overall Error Details column indicates whether a record’s linked records’ attributes have validation errors or warnings. The color of a record’s Overall Error Details status icon is determined by:

  • If any of the attributes in any of the record’s linked records has a validation error, the Overall Error Details status icon will be red.

  • If there are no validation errors but any of the attributes in any of the linked records has a validation warning, the Overall Error Details status icon will be yellow.

  • If there are no validation errors or warnings for any of the attributes in any of the linked records, the Overall Error Details status icon will be yellow.

To configure the Overall Error Details column to appear:

  1. In the Classic UI, in the Feature bar, select the desired repository, select Edit, then select Validation Model.

  1. The repository’s validation model will appear. It displays: Do you want to setup/view the validation model? Select No to have any existing model deleted. Select:

  • Yes: If a validation model already exists, it will be displayed. If it does not exist, a validation model will be created and displayed. Once a validation model exists, the Overall Error Details column will be enabled for the repository. If you do not finish configuring the validation model by selecting the linked repositories you want to be used to determine the values of the Overall Error Details column, the Overall Error Details column will display the same values as the repository’s Error column.

  • No: If a validation model already exists, it will be deleted, the Overall Error Details column will be disabled for the repository, and the Validation Model window will close. Clear the cache for you changes to take effect.

  • Cancel: Close the Validation Model window.

  1. If you selected Yes in the previous step, the validation model will appear. It is a tree-structure that diagrams the repository’s linked relationships with child and other descendent repositories. Click the + and icons to collapse and expand the repositories and to show any descendent repositories.

  2. Check the checkboxes for the repositories you want included in the Overall Error Details status.

  3. When you are finished editing the validation model, click Save.

  4. Clear the cache for your changes to take effect.
