Create any needed Profile Properties to store attribute metadata. For example, a profile property called Portal_Use_Flag could be used to identify any attribute that needs to be sent to an external portal.
Select the New option under the Action Drop-down list.
Select a Property Template if one exists that satisfies the requirement (optional).
Enter a Property Name. Do not include special characters in the name, such as & < > ".
Select the Data Type.
Fill in the additional fields, which are different depending upon the Data Type.
Click the OK button.
