The MapReveal™ software enables you to upload your data from a local system. This can be done by clicking Add Layer option in the map session. This extends the Add New Layer panel where the Upload Data button appears on top.

Once the upload option is selected, you are redirected to the data management page. To upload data, use the first icon at the top of the layers section. After you select the upload option, a new window appears.

This window contains three main options you must choose depending on the type of data. Each option displays the list of all standard formats so that you can confirm the data type before uploading.

Data Format Size Limit
Vector Layer KML, KMZ 100 MB
JSON, GEOJSON 60 MB
DXF, CSV 10 MB

ZIP — Shapefiles (.shp, .shx, .dbf, .prj)

MapInfo Tab & NativeX Tab (.tab, .dat, .id, .map)

10 MB
Raster Layer TIFF, MRR 500 MB
Tabular Data XLS, XLSX, CSV 10 MB

The maximum size limit for all the files to be uploaded is 1 GB. This data can be uploaded either by clicking the link and selecting the file or directly through drag and drop.

After the dataset is uploaded and processed, it appears under the corresponding data type - Vector, Raster or Tabular.

For each data set, there is an Edit icon to modify features in the data layer. In addition, you are presented with an information icon, which can be used to gather information such as Layer Name, Upload Date, and Feature Count by hovering over it. Search bar and Sort features are provided for ease of navigation.

Below Upload Data button, there are four drop-down sections listed with the following features:

  1. Vector:

All the vector files that you uploaded locally through the data management page are listed under the 'My Data' module.

  2. Raster:

All the raster files that you uploaded locally from the data management page are listed under the 'My Data' module.

  3. Tabular:

All the tabular files that you uploaded locally from the data management page are listed under the 'My Data' module.

  4. Collected data:

This menu displays all the forms that you created with field attributes and data collected by collaborators. You can add all the data in the selected form to the selected layer by clicking Add Data.

For more information, see Data Collection.

After selecting required datasets, the Add Data button appears at bottom right of the panel. You can add datasets to the map session by clicking on Add Data.
