Fixed styling is used to apply a common styling theme in the map session layer. It is not influenced by any attribute from the dataset and is applied uniformly throughout the map session layer.

  1. Zoom Extent - This section determines the zoom limits to which map session layer can be extended.

Note: The session layer is not displayed if the zoom level is less than the minimum or greater than the maximum value of the zoom extent.
  2. Fill or Line Style or Icon - This section is labeled as Fill for Polygon geometry, Line Style for Polyline geometry and Icon for Point geometry. It includes components as mentioned below:

    • Symbol or Icon - For Polygon geometry, they are classified into two types: hollow and solid. The hollow symbol only displays the outlines for the selected layer. Meanwhile, the solid symbol styles both the fill and border for the selected layer.

For Polyline geometry, there are three self-explanatory symbols: Solid, Dash, and Dotted under the 'Line Style' section.

For Point geometry, there is Icon component under the 'Icon' section that allows you to select an icon for the point features.

Note: When the hollow symbol is selected, the fill styling option is disabled.
    • Fallback Zoom - This component determines the map layer styling for the default zoom extent. You can modify map styling options such as Fill Color, Width, Border, Opacity, and Border Opacity for the selected layer as required.

    • Add New Zoom Range - This component allows you to specify an additional zoom range limit where various styling tools can be implemented as required.

  3. Labels - This section includes the following components:

    • Label Feature - Labels can be added into the session layer by switching the toggle option on and selecting the attribute to be used as a label.

To display more than one attribute, click ‘Expression’ option and the selected attribute can be added to the label by clicking Append. Once the output for the expression is previewed, click Apply to implement changes.

Note: Changes are saved and applied on the layer when Label Feature option is toggled ON and the layer is not hidden.
    • Fallback Zoom - This component determines the map layer styling for the default zoom extent. You can modify text styling options such as Color, Font, Transform, Spacing, Opacity, and Alignment for the selected layer as required.

    • Add New Zoom Range - This component allows you to specify an additional zoom range limit where various styling tools can be implemented as required.

Implementing Zoom Range Styling

Fall back zoom and zoom range can be styled by clicking on the Edit icon on far right. Values for each styling option can be modified as required. After clicking Update, changes are implemented on the selected layer.
