If you copy and paste a single node, a point object is created. If you copy and paste multiple nodes, a polyline object is created.
To copy and paste nodes:
- On the SPATIAL tab, in the Selection group, click Select, and Select.
- On the map, select the object that you want to reshape.
- On the SPATIAL tab, in the Edit group, click Reshape to see small filled boxes at each node in the object.
- Select the nodes to be copied.
Press the Ctrl key to select a series of points along the object.
- On the SPATIAL tab, in the Clipboard group, click Copy to copy the selected nodes to the clipboard as a point or polyline.
- On the SPATIAL tab, in the Clipboard group, click Paste to copy the node(s) as a point or polyline on to the map.
Note: The tabular data is not copied to the clipboard. When you paste the nodes, the resulting object has an empty tabular row.
