This tool assigns the title of Map, Browser, Layout, Layout, and Redistricter window and the default table view. The Set Default View option allows you to select a layer from an open map window and make the default zoom and center settings for the layer's base table match those of the map window. The default center and zoom settings are written to the table's .MAP file.
You can resize the open Browser, Map, Layout, and Layout windows in MapInfo Pro using the Window Manager tool. Remember you need to add the Window Manager tool to the Tools Manager list before using it.
Before you can work with this tool, you must register it with MapInfo Pro and then run it. For instructions, see Adding a Tool Using the Tools Manager.
To resize a Map window:
- Open the Map window you want to resize.
- On the HOME tab, in the Tool Windows group, click Tools.
- On the Running tab, double-click Window Manager and click Set Window Size to display the Set Window Size dialog box.
This dialog box does not accept negative, zero, or blank values as entries. You can enter decimal amounts, but in the format #.# not .#. If you enter one of these values, an error results.
- Type the width and height values in the fields provided and then select the units that are appropriate for those values.
Note: Inches are the initial default setting as they are based on paper units, but once you have changed the selection in the Units drop-down list, MapInfo Pro "remembers" it for the session.
- Click OK to resize the window.
Keep in mind that the display of the window you resize can be affected by your computer's display settings and that the Title bar and scroll bars are included in the calculation of the window's size.
