The Region Object (Read Only) dialog box displays when the layer that the object resides in is not editable. On the HOME tab, in the Windows group, click Tool Windows, and click Layers from the list, to open the Layers window, where you can specify layer settings.
Use the Region Object dialog box to view the region's location, length, line segments, and smoothness.
Bounds X1, Y1 and X2, Y2
The lower left (X1, Y1) and upper right (X2, Y2) corners of the region's minimum bounding rectangle (the smallest rectangle that can fully enclose the region).
Center X, Y
The coordinate of the midpoint of the middle segment. When there is an even number of segments, the middle segment is defined to be segment N/2 + 1, with N equal to the number of segments. So if you had eight segments, MapInfo Pro would report the center of the fifth segment, or 8/2 + 1.
Total Area
Total area of the region in square area units (for example, square miles, square yards etc.) To specify an area unit setting, on the MAP tab, in the Options group, click Map Options to open the Map Options dialog box.
Total Perimeter
Total perimeter of the region in distance units (for example, miles, meters etc.) To specify a distance unit setting, on the MAP tab, in the Options group, click Map Options to open the Map Options dialog box.
Line Segments
The number of segments is the total number in all sections of the region. Does not display when the layer that the object resides in is not editable.
Polygons
The number of polygons that make up the region.
