For backwards compatibility with maps created before version 11.5, you can still create cartographic legends. Some of the following options are only visible in this dialog box when working with these legends.
Refresh Styles
If selected, then MapInfo Pro will rescan the tables associated with all refreshable frames. New styles will be added to the frame and obsolete styles will be removed.
Refresh Layout
If the layout mode is changed from Portrait to Landscape, or vice versa, or from Custom to Portrait or Landscape, MapInfo Pro resizes the window to a default size that's based on the layout mode (similar to the initial window you get when you first create a Portrait or Landscape legend).
Portrait/Landscape
Determines the orientation of the frames when the layout is refreshed. This is disabled when Refresh Layout is unselected.
Number of Columns
If you select the Portrait option you can specify the number of columns (up to the number of frames) that you want the frames to display in.
Number of Rows
If you select the Landscape option you can specify the number of rows (up to the number of frames) that you want the frames to display in.
Refresh Alignment
Refresh Alignment is used to align margins and label offset formatting in each frame. For example, regardless of the size of the swatch you are using in a legend, the margins should line up and the labels should be allowed to display over each other. Click the Refresh Alignment option to make this happen.
Navigation Buttons
OK
