The frame position in a Layout window is measured from the top left corner of the canvas to the top left corner of the frame. Position is shown as an X (horizontal) value and Y (vertical) value and the values start at zero (0). The position is in the default measurement set as a software preference.
Depending on the type of frame selected, not all of the following options are available or shown.
Top-Left X
The horizontal position of the top left corner of the frame on the layout canvas. Enter a value larger than zero to move the frame to the right on the canvas.
Y
The vertical position of the top left corner of the frame on the layout canvas. Enter a value larger than zero to move the frame down the canvas.
Width
The width of the frame. Enter a new value to make the width larger or smaller.
Height
The hight of the frame. Enter a new value to make the width larger or smaller.
Style
Depending on the object this will open the:
- Line Style dialog box to specify the style, color, and width of the line.
- Region Style dialog box to specify a fill pattern (foreground and background) and border style (color and width) for the object.
Rotate Frame
Shows the rotation in degrees (0 to 360) of the frame. To change the rotation, change the value.
Navigation Buttons
OK
Applies your changes to the frame position and size.
Cancel
Closes the dialog box without saving your changes.
