Map
Displays the title of the Map window for which the legend will be created.
Layers
This list box is empty when you first enter the dialog box. Use the remove button to move layers from the Legend Frames list box to this list box. Any layer you move to the Layers list box will not be included in the legend.
Legend Frames
Contains all the layers that can contribute to the Legend Designer window. When the legend is created, the information about each layer displays in a frame.
Add button
Use this button to move layers from the Layer list box to the Legend Frames list box.
Remove button
Use this button to move layers from the Legend Frames list box to the Layers list box.
Up/Down button
The frames will be drawn in the order that they appear in the list. Use the Up and Down buttons to reorder the layers in the Legend Frames list box.
Next button
Displays the Create Legend - Step 2 of 2 dialog box.
Cancel button
Terminates the dialog box without creating a legend.
Finish button
Terminates the dialog box and creates frames for the selected layers into a new or existing Legend Designer window.
