What is the purpose of Redistricter/New Redistricter?
To begin a redistricting session. Redistricter creates a special table, called Districts, and displays the table in a Browser window. The Districts Browser, used in conjunction with a Map window, lets you perform redistricting. You assign map objects to a district by selecting the objects. As you select objects, MapInfo Pro automatically calculates the net values for each district, and displays the values in the Districts Browser.
When is Redistricter/New Redistricter active?
When a Map window is the active window and you are not already in a redistricting session. If you have already opened one Districts Browser, you must close that browser before you can choose New Redistrict again.
How do I access Redistricter/New Redistricter?
- On the HOME tab, in the Windows group, click New Document, and click Redistricter from the list to open the New Redistrict Window dialog box.
- On the MAP tab, in the Options group, click Redistricter, and click New Redistricter Window from the list to open the New Redistrict Window dialog box.
