What is the purpose of Geocode?

To assign point objects to rows in a table based on a map on a MapMarker, Envinsa, Precisely Global Geocoder, or a Global Geocoder server. Data in the MapMarker, Envinsa, Precisely Global Geocoder, or Global Geocoder server records (such as the street address, ZIP Code, county, state) is used to match against a selected map (with a matching street map, ZIP Code map, state data) to determine where the reference point for that record should go.

When is Geocode active?

When at least one registered table is open (the table you are geocoding).

Note: This option does not enable if the open table is an unregistered raster table because there are no points to geocode against.

How do I access Geocode?

On the SPATIAL tab, in the Create group, click Geocode, and Geocode Using Server to open the Geocode Using Server dialog box.
