What is the purpose of Erase Outside Target?
To remove a portion of a map object using the currently selected object as the eraser. The portion of the target object that is not overlapped by the erasing object is removed.
When is Erase Outside Target active?
- When an object is set as the target.
- When an object that acts as the eraser is selected.
- When the Map window containing the object is active.
- When a layer editable.
How do I access Erase Outside Target?
On the SPATIAL tab, in the Edit group, click Erase, and click Erase Outside Target.
