The Region Statistics dialog box enables you to create a table of regions with new columns containing statistical values computed for a single or multiple grid files.

Input File

From the Input File drop-down list select the file or click to browse and select the required input data file.

Region Inspection Options

From Select Region Layer drop-down list, select the MapInfo TAB file containing the region object(s) for which statistics are required.

Expand More Options and select the required attributes. The Region Inspection Attributes are listed below.

  • Minimum
  • Maximum
  • Average
  • Median
  • Coefficient of variation
  • Range
  • Cell count
  • Standard deviation
  • Null cell count
  • Sum of cells
  • % Null cells
  • Mode
  • Lower Quartile
  • Upper Quartile
  • Inner Quartile Range

Output File

Specify a name and location for the output file that you are creating. In the Output File box enter the name for your output file. Click to browse to the location in your computer to save the output file.

Click Output Settings to specify the following. The values in Output Settings are controlled by the Raster Preferences dialog; however, you can override those settings here.

  • Display Output File - Select the check-box, if you want to open the output file in the Map window on completion of the operation. You can configure to make this the default behavior from the Raster Preferences dialog box.
