The Line Statistics dialog box enables you to update a table of polyline or line data with values taken from a raster file.
Input File
Select an input raster that will be used by the line vector to calculate line inspection attributes.
Line Inspection options
The Line Inspection options section contains the following options.- Select Line Layer - Select the MapInfo TAB file that contains the line.
- Number of Samples - The number of samples on the grid along the selected line or polyline. The default Number of Samples is 100, which can be controlled by Raster Preferences window. On the Raster Preferences window click Processing & Analysis and enter the required value in the Sampling Frequency (Line Stats and Cross Section) field.
- Line Inspection Attributes - The statistics parameters on the basis of which the line is sampled. For more details on the attributes, refer to Line Stats.
Output File
Select a location to save the output vector file that contains the line attribution statistics. Click Output Settings to control the following. The output settings can be controlled by the values set in the Raster Preferences dialog, however, you can override those settings before processing the current operation.
Display Output File - Select the check-box, if you want to open the output file in the Map window on completion of the operation. You can configure to make this the default behavior from the Raster Preferences dialog.
