The Point Inspection tool extracts all cell values from one or more input rasters at point locations and writes them as attributes of the points in the TAB file. It adds a new column in the .TAB file having cell values from a raster file(s). You can perform point inspection on multiple rasters, in that case a new column will be added for each raster in the output table. Using the Point Inspection tool, you can get cell value from raster at each input data point.
The cell value will be extracted on input raster's first field and first band only. In case of classified raster, class label will be extracted.
For example, using this tool, you can get information about actual transmitted signal strength of a particular location from the actual signal strength raster. The output is a table that will contain a column populated with actual signal strength values.
