You can overdraw on distributable licenses in MapInfo Pro up to 10% of the number of distributable licenses you own. For example, if you have 50 distributable licenses, you will be able to overdraft upto 5 broken licenses.

You can use the overdraft feature when, for example, you lose a license due to a machine format or crash.

To enable overdraft of a distributable license:

  1. Activate the distributable licenses in a single transaction.
  2. Consume these licenses in MapInfo Pro.
  3. Open the License Server Utility. On the License menu, click Properties to open the License Properties dialog box.
    The license summary section shows the number of licenses that MapInfo Pro has in use so far.
  4. Click Close.
  5. Exit and restart MapInfo Pro.
  6. Open the License Server Utility.
    The License Properties dialog box displays. The license summary section now shows the number of licenses that have been overdrafted.
