This enhancement provides the option to use a log stream as an alternative to the in-memory data store, therefore removing the 2 GB limit, as described in the KBA for SDF21D0.

The use of a log stream allows for the temporary storage of data in much greater quantities than the default in-memory data store. An in-memory data store is limited to two gigabytes; whereas, a log stream data store will allow you to define a much larger data store to suit your mainframe environment. A log stream also retains data that has been collected, but which has not been sent, in case Ironstream, or the system itself, terminates for some reason.
