Note: Verify that the EVIEW library is not in your library list on the IBM i agent. (Use the console command EDTLIBL to see the current library list, and space over the EVIEW entry if it exists.)

Follow these steps to load the agent components of Ironstream:

  1. Sign on to the IBM i system as QSECOFR or an equivalent administrator account.
  2. Create a temporary savefile named EVREL74 in any available library to receive the installation savefile:

    CRTSAVF FILE(libname/EVREL74)

  3. On the Ironstream Proxy Server, download the iSeries agent .zip file package from the Precisely Support portal.
  4. Extract the EVREL74.SAVF savefile from the .zip file.
  5. Start an ftp session to the IBM i agent system, set the file type to binary, and change directory to the library name of the savefile created in Step 2.
  6. Use the put command to place the library on the IBM i agent.

    > ftp iSeriesName

    User: qsecofr

    Password: ****

    ftp> bin

    ftp> libname

    ftp> put EVREL74.SAVF

    ftp> quit

  7. Restore the Ironstream installation library on the IBM i (a temporary library named EVREL74 will be created):
    RSTLIB SAVLIB(EVREL74) DEV(*SAVF) SAVF(libname/EVREL74) RSTLIB(EVREL74)
