This process allows you to join two or more values from JSON key/value pairs and add the resulting value, with a name of your choice, into JSON records.
- To add a JSON Property Concatenator, click JSON Property Concatenator in Add Process window. The canvas updates immediately. The orange icon identifies that it is not valid, or not complete. The green ‘check’ icon is no longer present against the Target. This identifies that the pipeline is not complete, or not correct.Figure 1. Add JSON Property Concatenator
- Complete these fields for a JSON Property Concatenator in the bottom panel of the canvas.
Field Description Name Name for the process. The character limit is from 1 to 50. Description Short description about the JSON Property Concatenator. This will be visible on the canvas. The character limit is 1 to 200. New JSON key name Name of the new JSON key created from concatenated JSON keys. The character limit is from 1 to 50. Delimiter Select a character used to separate items in the value of the new JSON key name from the drop-down. The default value is - (hyphen). JSON key names to concatenate Give any value. At least two JSON key names are required. One or more JSON key names are above the maximum length of 250 characters. Note: Name, New JSON key name, Delimiter, and JSON key names to concatenate are required fields. If you leave one of the required fields blank, text on the bottom panel identifies this and the icon remains orange. You must complete the required fields to turn the icon to a green ‘check’.Example of completed JSON Property Concatenator:Figure 2.
