The Hub has a browser-based user interface (UI) for certain targets and processes, though at present not for all. For some processes you must manually configure them using a simple text editor as described in the sections Process Files and Data Target Files. The processes you can define and view with the UI are described here.
From the Systems tab of IBM i Configuration Tool, you can see an Edit Pipeline button against each system.
Click the Edit Pipeline button to see the Hub Pipeline edit screen.
Here you will see a Source, Process, and a Target. The boxes are joined by lines on a canvas which is the whole white page.
The starting position is simply the Source node connected to the Target node. It identifies that all the data from the Source will be sent to the Target.
The Target has a name <SourceName>_to_splunk but this does not mean that the data can only be sent to Splunk. This is just an auto-generated and fixed name at this time. A future version of the Hub will allow you to set the name of the Target you want.
Source is colored blue and Target is colored green. If you define process nodes, they are colored purple. A green ‘check’ against the Target identifies that the pipeline is valid and ready to use. You can click Exit to go back to the IBM i configuration tool and start using this if no additional filtering is defined. In fact, you do not need to come to the Hub UI if filters are not defined.
To control your data more intelligently or with better granularity, you can set up Process nodes to filter the data in or out using this UI.
