The data source for GroundView: US Business Summary Data changed from Precisely' s US Business Points (based on data from GeoResults, Inc.) to another Precisely product, the World Points of Interest - Premium dataset for the United States. As a result of this change, users may notice significant changes in business counts and other values.
Fields containing retail sales estimates for retail establishments were removed in this release:

Eleven new fields containing counts of business establishments by total sales ranges were added to both the NAICS and SIC datasets:
- 2023 Est: Total Sales Size A - Under $500K
- 2023 Est: Total Sales Size B - $500K to $999.9K
- 2023 Est: Total Sales Size C - $1M to $4.9M
- 2023 Est: Total Sales Size D - $5m to $9.9M
- 2023 Est: Total Sales Size E - $10M to $24.9M
- 2023 Est: Total Sales Size F - $25M to $74.9M
- 2023 Est: Total Sales Size G - $75M to $199.9M
- 2023 Est: Total Sales Size H - $200M to $499.9M
- 2023 Est: Total Sales Size I - $500M to $999.9M
- 2023 Est: Total Sales Size J - Over $1 billion
- 2023 Est: Total Sales Size U - Not Reported
NAICS-based variables were aligned to NAICS 2022 industry codes, used in the new input source data for this release, which resulted in the following:
- Removal of discontinued NAICS 2017-based variables
- Introduction of NAICS 2022-based variables
- Changes in NAICS descriptions for NAICS-based variables that did not otherwise change between the 2017 and 2022 coding systems
- Retail trade business summaries include updated 4-digit NAICS summaries

The areaname field was added to the product files, in the third position, after the code and type fields.
Geographic codes for the following census geographies in the state of Connecticut were modified to align with the Census Bureau's 2022TIGER/Line codes as a result of the switch to county-equivalent planning regions in the state:
- Census Block Group (BG)
- Census Tract (CT)
- County (CO)
- Minor Civil Division
The PreciselyID lookup table was changed from a two-field table (PBKEY and code_bg) to a three-field table containing the following variables:
- PBKEY
- CODE
- STATE_ABBR
