Reverse geocoding is an optional processing feature that provides you with a way to enter a location consisting of a latitude and longitude (geocode) and to receive a possible address for the geocode entered. To use the reverse geocoding option, you need additional data files, called GSX files.
You must be licensed for reverse geocoding to have the GSX files automatically loaded during your data installation.
Note:
- If you are licensed for the reverse geocoding option, GSX files will be installed automatically (on both Windows and UNIX OS platforms).
- If the GSD split option is used for any subset of data, you will still need to create the GSX files manually. For instructions, see Splitting Data and Creating GSX Files.
