This section provides instructions for installing the optional Finalist database files in a Linux environment.

Note: The same auxiliary databases are used for the 32-bit and 64-bit installations of Finalist.

To install the database files, follow these steps.

  1. Download the database(s).
  2. Use the "Save-As" option to save the file to your system.
  3. Extract the files.
  4. Follow the instructions provided by the installation program for a successful database installation.
  5. Use an FTP type of program to binary transfer the files from your Windows machine to your Linux database location (for example, /precisely/finalist/db/).
