You must have administrator permissions to manage users and groups. Groups allow you to cluster users together into logical categories, such as departments, or functional areas within an organization. For example, Human Resources and Finance, or Data Governance and Data Quality Operations. You can assign a user or a group as the resource for an asset.
If your organization deploys Data360 Govern in conjunction with an existing LDAP/AD protocol, users will be automatically created when they log in to the application, and granted read-only access. You will then need to grant additional access to selected individuals, as required. For non-LDAP/AD organizations, you can manually create users.
Note: Updating user settings in the Development environment causes the same updates to occur in Production. For example, changing a user's email address in the Data360 Govern DEV environment will also change the email address in the Data360 Govern PROD environment.
