Note: Only users with administration rights can edit localization settings.

To set the localization settings:

  1. From the menu at the top of the screen, select Admin > Settings.
  2. In the General Settings panel, click Localization.
  3. Select a Time Zone from the list.
  4. Select a Locale from the list.
  5. Click Save Changes.
  6. After changing the localization settings, it is recommended that you log out of Data360 DQ+ and log back in to ensure that the changes are applied.
Note: When setting up Data360 DQ+ for the very first time, there will be no localization settings selected on the Admin > Settings page. The system will use the default settings, until you select the appropriate ones.

The localization settings affect how data is displayed throughout the system and in the Executions Log, as described below.

Date, datetime, and time fields

If fields have localization information associated with them, this will interact with system localization and time zone settings, and affect what is displayed in data stages.

If fields do not have localization information associated with them, they will adopt the localization settings of the system. As an administrator, you should keep both of these possibilities in mind. Ftext, stepsor example, if users are working with data and they believe they have found discrepancies in time, it may actually be that the system's time zone is different than the time zone of their data set.

For more detailed examples of how this can work, see Settings for Date, DateTime, and Time Fields.

Executions log timestamps

Executions log timestamps are based on the system time zone that you set on the Admin > Settings > Localization panel. If you change the system time zone, all timestamps in the executions log will shift accordingly.
