You can export data from the data viewer to a CSV (Comma Separated Values) file, which can then be opened by Excel or a number of other applications.
The entire data set will be exported, not just the first 1000 records shown in the data viewer. Any filters or column reordering will be included in the export.
To export data:
- Click the menu button in the top right corner of the data viewer.
- Select Export to CSV.
Note: If you do not see the Export to CSV option, contact your system administrator. If you are an administrator, see Configuring node log download permissions.
Your CSV file will be generated automatically by your browser. Depending on your browser settings you may be prompted to choose a location to save the file to. Otherwise, the file will be created in your Downloads folder. When the export is complete, you will be notified by your browser.
Note: For large data sets, you should allow more time for the export process to complete.
Note: If you are viewing data in a pop-out window, you can export to CSV provided that the source data remains available. If your source data is no longer available, you will see a warning at the bottom of the pop-out window. Any changes that you make to the source data while the pop-out window is open will not be reflected in the data viewer.
