You can connect the data sources across your business by combining the analytical power of Data360 Analyze with the data governance capabilities of Data360 Govern.
Data360 Analyze enables you to acquire, prepare and analyze metadata from external sources, and then uses APIs to feed this externally sourced metadata to Data360 Govern to enrich your data governance glossaries. The data flows that are built in Data360 Analyze to extract technical metadata from external sources are called "Connectors". Connectors can be used to extract metadata from flat files (for example XML or CSV), databases (for example SQL Server or Oracle) and applications (for example SAP). Connectors usually contain a "Harvester" node and a "Framework" node. The "Harvester" is a composite node that contains the required functionality to extract data from an external source. The "Framework" is a composite node that contains the required configuration to connect to Data360 Govern.
Please see the Data360 Govern help for more information on supported connectors and configuration.
