To upgrade from a version before Data360 Analyze 3.4.3, you must do it in two stages, as follows:
Current version | Upgrade steps |
---|---|
Any version between 3.2.0 and 3.4.2 | First upgrade to Data360 Analyze 3.8.4, then perform the upgrade to the latest version of Data360 Analyze. |
Before 3.2.0 | First upgrade to Data360 Analyze 3.6, then perform the upgrade to the latest version of Data360 Analyze. |
- Before upgrading, we recommend that you first make a copy of all of your assets by exporting all of your data flows and custom nodes before uninstalling your existing version of Data360 Analyze:
- From the Directory, select My Documents, then press Ctrl + A to select all of your data flows.
- From the Details panel on the right of the screen, click the menu button, then select Export.
- When asked if you want to include dependencies, select Yes, then click Export.
- Save the exported LNA and make a note of the location. You will need to import this file when you have installed the latest version of Data360 Analyze.
- From the Directory, select Public Documents, then repeat the steps above to export and save an LNA containing any data flows and nodes from this collection.
- Double-click the "uninstall" application file in your installation directory, for example, C:/Program Files/Data360 Analyze/uninstall.exe. The uninstaller will guide you through the process step by step.
- When prompted, select Delete local data directory.
- Caution: Ensure that there are no instances of Data360 Analyze running on the machine.
- If you are an existing Professional Desktop or Power Desktop user and you are upgrading from 3.0.5, you must request a new license by emailing Fulfillment_Case@precisely.com and providing your current license key.
-
Note: The end user who will be running Data360 Analyze should be logged onto the computer for installation.
Locate and right-click the Data360 Analyze 3.6.X or 3.8.4 installation file on your computer and select Run as administrator. If you do not have administrative privileges, an admin user can enter their credentials to allow the installation to continue. Note that the version of Data360 Analyze that you install in this step depends on your currently installed version. See the table at the start of this section for additional information.
The installer will guide you through the process step by step.
- If one or more of the default ports is in use, the installer will ask you to provide an alternative. Enter any number that is not already in use, for example, for the Data360 Analyze server, you could try 7732. For information on starting/stopping the Data360 Analyze server, see Starting and stopping the Data360 Analyze Server.
Once you have completed these steps, continue with the steps given under Upgrading from Data360 Analyze 3.4.4 or later to perform the upgrade to the latest version of the product.
