You can save time by creating schedules to enable the automatic execution of your data flows at specified times and intervals.
A schedule is a customizable set of rules that you create to govern the timing and conditions under which a given data flow is automatically run.
A run is a single execution of a data flow which can be initiated manually, or automatically by using a schedule.
You can view a list of schedules and runs in the following places in the Directory:
- The My Documents and Public Documents folders - Lists all schedules that you have created, or that have been shared with you. Corresponding runs are listed in the details panel.
- The Schedules collection - A centralized view of all schedules that are available on the system which you have access to view. Corresponding runs are listed in the details panel. The Schedules collection allows you to quickly identify schedules that have completed a run, failed to run or are still in progress. If you are interested in a specific schedule, the Schedules collection allows you to search for a schedule by name, rather than checking through multiple folders in the Directory.
- The Runs collection - A centralized view of all runs on the system which relate to a schedule that you have permission to view. The Runs collection allows you to quickly identify runs that have completed, failed or are still in progress. If you are interested in a specific run, you can search for the corresponding schedule by name.
